Reset to factory settings

Prev Next

You can "reset" your HOMAG   to factory settings.
This is useful, for example, if you use the HOMAG CUBE at another location, have forgotten your changed password for the local diagnostic interface, or want to pass on the HOMAG CUBE to another user. In addition, unsuitable settings that prevent the HOMAG Cube from functioning correctly will be deleted.

Specifically, the following settings are reset to their initial state:

  • Network

    • Static network settings are deleted. Obtaining the IP address via DHCP

    • Deleting the Configured NTP Server

  • Password

NOTE: This feature is only available with firmware version 0.132.0 or later. Your HOMAG CUBE needs the button on the top of the housing for this.

How to do it: step by step

  1. Press the button on the top of the HOMAG CUBE once. A white LED lights up on the left.

  2. Now press the button twice. Now the LED on the right lights up.

  3. Press the button again and hold it down until all the LEDs on the HOMAG CUBE light up together. Now release the button. If all LEDs now light up green, the campaign was successful. Then the right LED from step 2 lights up again.

  4. If all LEDs are red, the action has failed. In this case, you will find possible causes in the following paragraph.

Press the button once: A white LED lights up on the left.

Taster zweimal drücken: Rechts leuchtet eine weiße LED.

Press the button twice: A white LED lights up on the right.

Taster lange drücken: Alle LEDs leuchten gemeinsam auf.

Long press button: All LEDs light up together.

Release button: All LEDs are green.

Action failed: All LEDs are red.

Action failed? Possible causes:

  • My HOMAG CUBE has no button.
The first generations of the HOMAG CUBE do not have a button. This function is not available for your HOMAG CUBE.

  • The factory settings cannot be executed.
Please check if you have at least firmware version 0.132.0.

  • After the factory settings, I can no longer log in with the password on the back of the HOMAG CUBE.
Try to generate a password according to the following scheme:
    HomagCube<unique identifier>

The placeholder <unique identifier> is derived from the MAC address of the HOMAG CUBE and is therefore clearly linked to your HOMAG CUBE. To do this, use the last 6 digits of the MAC address of the HOMAG CUBE, which can be found in the hostname on the back of the HOMAG CUBE, for example.

    Example:
    - MAC Address: 12:34:45:78:9A:BC
    - The placeholder is: 789abc
    - Your password is: HomagCube789abc

Die MAC Adresse finden Sie auf der Rückseite des HOMAG CUBE.

The MAC address can be found on the back of the HOMAG CUBE.
