The GTIN (Global Trade Item number) is an internationally recognized identification number that makes it possible to uniquely identify each material. In contrast to conventional article numbers, which can be assigned by manufacturers several times or differently from region to region, the GTIN is unique and assigned to one material at a time. This uniqueness makes it much easier to identify materials precisely.
Improved material search for Rehau products
While it was already possible to find materials using article numbers, the introduction of the GTIN field offers an even more precise search. Especially for products from the manufacturer Rehau, the GTIN enables direct and error-free identification in the catalog. This saves time and reduces the likelihood of errors in the search.
Flexible use of the GTIN field
The new GTIN field is available as an optional field in the table settings in both the materialManager and materialAssist . Users can display the field as needed, allowing them to customize their material management.
