Manual nesting of individual parts is now possible directly in the woodWOP interface.
The new nesting plugin makes it possible to manually nest individual parts directly in the woodWOP interface. With the new "Single Part" macro, individual parts are moved by touch or mouse. In the case of rectangular workpieces, minimum distances to the Edge and adjacent parts are monitored. Optionally, an additional formatting macro can be used for StayDown or grab bars. This requires separate licensing.
The advantages at a glance:
This feature allows for easy programming, especially when reproducing defective parts
Occasional nesting can be done without separate nesting software
Nesting is a process for the automatic arrangement of components on a raw board with the aim of minimizing material waste, reducing material costs and maximizing the utilization of the board material.
woodWOP is HOMAG's graphical CNC programming software for woodworking machines. It enables easy creation, editing, and optimization of machining programs through an intuitive user interface, and supports both standard and parametric CNC programming for flexible manufacturing processes.
An edge defines the processing and specification of a component’s sides (e.g. left, right, front, back). It includes material, thickness, and type of edging (e.g. ABS edge band). Edges are important for appearance, protection, and further processing, especially in edge banding.
