Store material

This page describes the storage process using an edgeband coil. The procedure for other materials is similar.

In the Store display, all existing materials that match the selected workplace and are available for storage are displayed.

Overview of the materials available for storage

Select the material

To start the storage process, you have to select the material first. Depending on the configuration, several options are available.

All materials available for storage are displayed in the list. Filter and sorting functions can be used to quickly find the right material.

The process is started by clicking the Store button (1).

Scan the material with the tablet

Click the Store & Relocate button to open a scan dialog on the tablet.

Once the label has been created, the Manual Storage dialog will be displayed.

Scan the material with a connected bluetooth scanner

The easiest and fastest way to select the material is to scan with a connected bluetooth scanner. 

Once a material has been scanned in the Store view, the manual storage dialog opens.

If there is no definite match (e.g. when scanning a material code), a search is performed and the result is displayed filtered in the list.

Selection of the storage place

After selecting the material, the manual storage dialog is displayed. 

Depending on the material type, information about the state of the metariel can be updated in this dialog. For an edgeband, e.g., the available remaining length can be updated. The application suggests a storage place automatically. If the material was already stored, this storage place will be recommended. A default storage place can modified at any time.

According to the material type, the following storage types have proven to be effective.

  • Chaotic storage
    Similar materials are stored slightly apart from each other. This prevents mistakes during removal. The process is used, e.g., for edgebands.
  • Single variety storage
    Similar materials are stored close to each other. The process is used, e.g., for panels.

If a LED strip is assigned to a storage, the suggested shelf will light up yellow.

After clicking on the selection list, all available locations are displayed. A location can be selected from this list.

If a LED strip is assigned to the selected location, it lights up yellow. Click on confirm to assign the storage location to the stored material.

After clicking on the scan button, the scan dialog opens on the tablet. As soon as a shelf has been scanned, the storage location is assigned to the material and the dialog is closed.

Once a compartment has been scanned, the storage location is assigned to the material and the dialog is closed.

If a LED strip is assigned to the selected location, it will light up green for confirmation.
