Add stack optimization

Prev Next

If you have not yet performed batch optimization, the following home page will appear after logging in :

Now start by clicking on the "Start with your first optimization" area.

If you have already imported a batch optimization and want to add another batch optimization, you will be presented with the stack optimization summary table after logging in:

Here, click on the "Add Stack Optimization" button.

After clicking on the "Start with your first optimization" or "Add batch optimization" area, you will then see the dialog for uploading a SAW file:

After clicking the "Browse" button, a file selection dialog opens with which you can select the desired SAW file.

The name of the file including the file extension is now displayed in the "File name" field.

Now click on the "Confirm" area to import the file for optimization.

You will now see the dialog for the settings during the calculation:

In the "Name" field, you will find the file name of the imported optimization again. This is also the name for stack optimization.

The "Machine" selection field displays the name of the machine that you have assigned to the application via tapio. If you have added several machines to the application, you can select the desired machine in this field. Only those machines that are also suitable for calculating the batch optimization are displayed in the selection field.

In the "Manual Cuts" selection field, you specify whether the sheets to be cut manually should be at the beginning or at the end of production.

When you have completed all the settings, click on the "Optimize" area to start the calculation .

When the calculation starts, it is checked whether the existing configuration of the machine contains all the necessary information for the calculation. If the existing configuration of the selected machine is not suitable, a notice is displayed. In this case, an update of the CADmatic on the saw must first be carried out. For more information, see the Prerequisites section in the Machines sub-item.
