Configuration

Prev Next

The productionAssist Feedback is a component of the digital order folder, the productionManager

When the productionAssist app is opened for the first time, no workstations are created. Click on the Add workstation button in the lower left corner to add the desired workstation from a list of available, predefined workstations.

Once all the steps of the configuration have been completed, the Configure button turns into a gear. By clicking on the gear wheel , you can make changes afterwards.

As soon as the configuration has been successfully completed, the workstation is displayed in the job progress in the productionManager.

Note:

The Add My Computer button will be displayed as long as licenses are available. You can find out how to purchase additional licenses in the chapter Subscribing to interfaces.

Hinzufügen eines Arbeitsplatzes

Adding a Workspace

The workstations are arranged according to workstation types along the process chain of a furniture production. Select the desired workstation from the list of offered workstations.

Auswahl eines Arbeitsplatzes

Choosing a workplace

The app guides you through the configuration in individual steps.

Step 1: Customize your workspace

In the first step, the name of the workplace can be customized. Assigning a name that is as descriptive as possible makes it easier to select it later in the overview.

By activating the checkbox "Last workstation, status is set to finished." , the status of a component is marked as completed after it has been reported as completed in this work center.

In addition, you can choose between two functions that are executed as soon as a component code is scanned.

If you select the "Feedback Parts" option, the scanned component code is immediately reported.

Selecting the "View Part Details and Optional Feedback" option displays the part details. A completion message is optional.

Step 2: Select Machine

In the second step, you can select a machine from your list of suitable configured machines on tapio. You can assign this to your workplace.

In this case, please refer to the chapter Feedback from Machines.

You can skip this step by clicking on the Continue without machine button.

Step 3: Filter Worklist

Here you can define which conditions the components, assemblies, and articles must meet in order to be displayed in the worklist list of a work center.
To make it easier for you to make the settings, various pre-planned options are suggested to you for many workplace types.

Workplaces with preconceived options

There are always two options available to you for the workstation types listed below.

  1. Option: Customize work-related filters in Expert mode.

Description: In expert mode, all fields of a component, assembly or article are available to you to set the filters you need.

  2. Option: Do not apply a filter.

Description: All released components, assemblies, or items are displayed in the worklist list of this work center, regardless of their properties.

Additional option for the workstation type "Sawing feedback"

  1. Option: Apply Job-Related Filter for Sawing Feedback.

Description: All components that have been assigned a length* or width* and have not yet been reported back to the Split workstation group are displayed.

    *Fields Length, Width

Additional options for the "Edge banding feedback" workstation type

  1. Option: Apply workplace-related filter for feedback edge banding.

Description: All components for which at least one edge* is stored and which have not yet been reported back to the Edge Banding work group are displayed.

  2. Option: Apply workstation-related filter for feedback edge banding and take into account any processing carried out.

Description: All components are displayed for which at least one edge* is stored, which have not yet been reported back to the Edge Banding work center group and which have already been processed on upstream work centers (Split Work Center Type).

*Front edge, back edge, left edge, right edge

Additional options for the "CNC Confirmation" workstation type

  1. Option: Apply Job-Related Filter for CNC Feedback.

Description: All components are displayed for which at least one CNC program* is stored and which have not yet been reported back to the CNC work center group.

  2. Option: Apply workstation-related filters for CNC feedback and take into account the machining carried out.

Description: All components are displayed for which at least one CNC program* is stored, which have not yet been reported back to the CNC work center group and which have already been processed on upstream work centers (work center type splitting and edge banding).

*Fields CNC program 1, CNC program 2

Additional options for the "Laminate Confirmation" work center type

  1. Option: Apply Workplace-Related Filter for Confirmation Laminate.

Description: All components are displayed for which at least one coating* is stored and which have not yet been reported back to the Laminating work center group.

*Field Type = Sales Order Item

All other workplaces

For all other workstations that are not listed here, you can set the filters according to your requirements in expert mode.

Tips for Expert Mode:

  • Depending on the work center type, it makes sense to display only those components, assemblies or articles that are relevant to the respective work center.

  • The "Type" field (1) can be used to set whether components, assemblies or articles are displayed in the work center. The value "Production Order" represents components, the value "Assembly" for assemblies and the value "Sales Order Line" for articles.

  • You can use the fields "Requires splitting" (2), "Requires edge banding", "Requires CNC machining", "Requires lamination", "Requires prefabrication" to quickly filter by the properties of a component. For example, "Requires edge banding" means that at least one edge of the component must be occupied.

  • With the help of the status fields, such as "Edge banding status", you can set whether the production progress of a component should be taken into account.

  • By clicking on the + And button, an And condition is added to the existing filter (3).

  • Clicking on the + Or button will add a new filter to the existing filter in the form of an OR condition (4).

  • In Expert Mode, you will be offered the second option of the workstation types listed below for customization.

  • Just give it a try! You can adjust the settings at any time or use the predefined options.

Step 4: Connect the scanner and scan the code

If you are using a tablet, you must first connect a scanner via Bluetooth. Alternatively, if you're using the web app on a laptop or desktop, you can use a wired scanner.

A scan of the matrix code displayed checks the correct integration. If the scanned code does not correspond to the expected result, you will be shown a message and you will receive troubleshooting information here .

The integration of a scanner is optional. However, working with the application in combination with a scanner is significantly simplified.

In the Devices & Hardware section , we have recommended

models and provide helpful configuration instructions for download. If necessary, a device can also be added later by calling up the configuration again. If you do not want to include a scanner, click Continue without a scanner to proceed to the next step.

Step 5: Complete the configuration

Once all the steps have been completed, the configuration is complete and the workstation can be used.

Tip:

The configuration can be restarted at any time by clicking on the gear icon in the workstation in the workstation overview .
