The gate dimension can now be defined separately for each side.
Until now, intelliDivide only had one uniform gate dimension for the entire plate. This kept the operation very simple.
The reality at the saw sometimes looks different. Two typical examples from your everyday life have shown us that a single shot is not always enough:
The "forklift effect": The front edge of a raw panel is often subjected to greater stress during transport. Here, a larger gate (e.g. 30 mm) is required at the front to guarantee clean edges. A large cut all around would only waste material unnecessarily on the remaining three sides.
Finished edges (e.g. kitchen countertops): Some boards already have a finished edge from the factory (postforming). Nothing must be cut away here! The gated dimension must be set to "0" on this side, while the other sides are edged normally.
The innovation: To meet these requirements, you can now define the bleed separately for each side: front, back, left and right.
Important note about the setting: In the first step, you will find these four separate fields in the machine settings. The values are therefore initially valid for the selected machine.
However, we are already working on making this function available to you directly for each material in the materialManager in the material-dependent parameters in the near future.
