Feature detection can be used to automatically detect cutting macros from DXF drawings.
Cardboard cutting machines use woodWOP cutting macros. What is new is that feature recognition can be used to automatically detect cutting macros from DXF drawings. You can draw the cutting lines as solid or dashed lines in CAD and then perform the DXF import in woodWOP. When feature detection starts, the cutting macros are automatically generated.
The advantages at a glance:
This feature allows for significant time savings in the creation of carton cutting programs
Even users without extensive woodWOP knowledge can now create cutting programs quickly and efficiently
A cutting part is a cut workpiece that will undergo further processing in subsequent production steps.
A macro is a parameterizable machining module in woodWOP that describes CNC machining such as drilling, milling or sawing and contains the associated machining and tool data.
woodWOP is HOMAG's graphical CNC programming software for woodworking machines. It enables easy creation, editing, and optimization of machining programs through an intuitive user interface, and supports both standard and parametric CNC programming for flexible manufacturing processes.
