In the materialManager area, you have the option of creating material groups for optimization parameters for remnants and specifying corresponding parameters in the "Optimization" area.
Material groups can be formed based on material properties.

The "Remainders" column in the "Slabs" tab shows the material group for each material (2). The column can be added via the table settings (1). If adjustments are necessary, you can navigate directly to the group in the materialManager (3).
From now on, parameters for residues that are used in intelliDivide can be stored in the materialManager in the Optimization area depending on the material. For this purpose, the materials are grouped together based on their properties.
This grouping makes it possible to set different minimum sizes for leftovers depending on the properties of a material. For example, in the case of cheap material, the formation of residues can be dispensed with, as the amount of action required is disproportionate to the material value. In the case of expensive material, on the other hand, the formation of very small residues can be allowed, as the additional effort is worthwhile here.
Efficiency is optimized through cost reduction and reduced effort.
The feature is available license-dependent and is included in intelliDivide Cutting Advanced / Premium and intelliDivide Nesting Advanced.
Currently, material-dependent optimization parameters can be set for leftovers. By the end of the year, this option will also be available for gate and stress relief.
