Firmware update of the sR Bridge

• HOMAG regularly provides security updates for the sR Bridge within the legal framework.

• In the standard configuration, these are installed automatically. The device checks an update server at regular intervals and installs available updates independently.

  After installation, a restart of the device is required.

• From the local diagnostics page, it is possible to deactivate the automatic firmware updates.

  In this case, firmware updates must be installed manually via the local diagnostics page after successful login.

Disable automatic firmware updates

In most use cases, it is not necessary to disable the automatic firmware update.
Rather, deactivation increases the risk that security gaps will not be closed or will only be closed with a delay.

Nevertheless, there is the option of disabling automatic firmware updates.

1. Login to the diagnostics page to disable automatic firmware updates.

2. Select Firmware Update .

3. For AutoUpdate, select the Toggle AutoUpdate button and confirm the dialog.
   The status changes back and forth between True (enabled) and False (disabled) with each actuation.

4. The status of AutoUpdate changes to False (disabled).
   
   

5. On the home page of the local diagnostics page, the status DeactivatedAutoUpdate is displayed even without logging in to State.
   

Running a firmware update manually from the diagnostics page

The sR Bridge checks at regular intervals whether a firmware update is available, regardless of whether automatic firmware updates are activated or not.

If an update is available, it will be displayed on the home page in State as the status FirmwareupdateAvailable without logging in and under Firmware Update after successful login.

If automatic firmware updates are deactivated, they are just not installed automatically. This means that in this case, the update must be started manually.

The check for new firmware updates can also be carried out manually via the local diagnostics page at any time after successful login

1. Log in to the diagnostics page in Login to check for and launch firmware updates.

2. Select Firmware Update .

3. To check for firmware updates, select the Search new firmware button at Last time searched.

   Not necessary if an available update is already displayed.

   1. If available, a firmware update will be displayed.

4. To start an available update, select Trigger Firmware Update .
