Various details and additional information can be stored for each edge type. Clicking on the row of an edge type will take you to the following view.
A field is only displayed if information is available.

Clicking on the "Edit" icon (1) in the detail view or at the end of the line of an edge type will take you to the dialog for editing it. Here you can add or correct information on details, materials management or additional data.

The edge code is used as a reference in many applications (e.g. intelliDivide, productionManager). It is therefore often structured according to the scheme {material}_{décor name}_{height}_{nominal thickness}_{process} or {material}_{décor code}_{height}_{nominal thickness}_{process} . When you add an edge band from the catalog, the edge band code is automatically suggested and can be changed afterwards.
The standard length is automatically transferred and used in the materialAssist on your tablet in the workshop when a new edge tape is stored.
Tip: When creating the edge codes, do not use special characters (\ $ & @ < > " ' ; # % * ? ,). Otherwise, problems can arise, especially when exchanging data with other programs based on a CSV file.

The manufacturer's information can be used to order the material. The storage of the data is optional.
Materials Management
If you maintain the edgeband inventory with materialAssist Edge, you can define a minimum stock for edgebands under the "Materials Management" tab. If this is not reached, a warning is displayed in the materialManager (orange triangle with white exclamation mark). You can also export a list of all edgeband types that have fallen below the minimum stock .

The décor is displayed in many applications and on machines. The display allows a quick comparison of the order with the available material. This prevents confusion between materials.
The "Notes" field provides the operator with a hint when processing the material. The field can also be used for further editing information.
Tip: When searching in the application, the field is also taken into account.
In addition, other documents (e.g. technical data sheets) can be stored as additional information.
If the edgeband type was added via the catalog, all documents and images provided by the manufacturer can be viewed in the Additional Data tab.
