Does the app detect that one compartment is full and automatically suggest another compartment?
No. We have deliberately solved this so as not to restrict you when configuring and working with the shelf. When storing the first part of an item, you specify the compartment. For each additional scanned item, the app automatically adopts this suggestion for the compartment. However, you can always choose a different compartment, e.g. if you want to store a long side of the cabinet.
Does the app calculate which components (in terms of size) fit in which compartment?
No. We have deliberately solved this in this way. This means that you always decide for yourself where which component should be stored.
Do I always have to confirm each compartment when I store it?
No. The app suggests a compartment for each part. This is automatically confirmed as soon as you scan the next part.
Can I outsource multiple components at once?
Yes. You can select several parts (e.g. all components that belong to a piece of furniture) with one click in the app and outsource them at once.
Do I have to scan each part individually when retrieval?
No. You can select several parts (e.g. all components that belong to a piece of furniture) with one click in the app and outsource them at once by simply confirming.
Configuration
Can I also integrate pallet spaces and other shelves standing at a distance?
Yes, that's possible. The productionAssist app offers the possibility to create compartments without LED support.
You then only attach the QR code with the subject name and create the spaces in the configuration. You can then store material there by scanning or directly selecting it on the tablet.
I would like to create my own subject name. Is that possible?
Yes, that's possible. Please use our instructions and the attached templates.
Can I also create a shelf area in the app without LED support?
Yes, that's possible. The productionAssist app offers the possibility to create compartments without LED light support. You then only attach the QR code with the subject name and create the spaces in the configuration. You can then then store components there by scanning or directly selecting them in the tablet.
LED Strips
Can I use my existing shelf and add LED strips?
Yes, that's possible. It is important to note that the LED strips specify a fixed length. However, unlit areas can still be created and managed in the app without any problems. Here you will find the installation dimensions of the components.
How long are the cables to the LED strips? Are there extension cords?
The extension cables of the LED strips are 2.0 m long. You can also add another cable of 2.0 m. The extension cables are available in the HOMAG eShop .
In what lengths are the LED strips available? What is the maximum number of LED strips I can connect?
The LED strips are available in the following lengths and can be combined up to a total length of 6000 mm:
2.00 m
1.40 m
0.50 m
0.16 m
Up to 4 LED strips, each with a total length of 6000 mm, can be connected per LED control box.
Can I expand the shelf with LEDs? Can I also equip a large warehouse with LEDs?
The LED system, which has been available since 2023, makes it possible to connect another LED control box to an output of the LED control box. Since every LED control box has this output, this process can be repeated several times.
With 2 LED control boxes, you can, for example, realize 4 x 6.00 m (1st LED box) + 4 x 6.00 m (2nd LED box) = 48.00 m LED length with one HOMAG .
