In the applications, there is the option of importing data at different points.
Examples:
Importing BOMs into the productionManager
Importing Material Types into the MaterialManager
You start configuring the import by importing the first file.

Start the import
In principle, CSV files (.csv) and Excel documents (.xlsx, .xls) can be imported. Depending on the application, other types are also possible. The maximum file size of a file can be up to 50 MB.

Import of a bill of materials (Excel in the example)
Import of simple lists
For the first import, you must create an import template and perform a data assignment . This assignment of the data elements is unique. The application then remembers the assignment once it has been created.
The application supports you in assigning or creating the import template.

Customization of the import template
Many facts are automatically detected by the application. In this case, for example, that it is an Excel file with the file extension xlsx and the encoding is in Unicode (UTF-8) format.
Under Name you can choose any name. If the import function has detected the file type incorrectly, the type can be changed in the drop-down field. The fonts can also be switched under Format , e.g. in ISO code, ASCII or in a Japanese or Chinese font.
You can choose in which line the import should start (possible specifications are 1 to 15). This option is important for customers whose system outputs the files with additional information at the top of the list that are not needed for import.
The Contains Headings confirmation uses the first row of the table to be imported as the headings. If the import does not recognize them automatically or in the correct order, please add this using the respective drop-down fields.

Mapping the columns of the imported file to parts properties
After each mapping is made, a preview for the column is displayed.

Assignment of all relevant columns
Once the mapping is complete, the configuration can be saved by clicking Confirm .
A preview of the first few lines is then displayed.

Import Preview
If necessary, the template can be edited again.

Editing the Import Template
If the display meets your expectations, the content can be transferred by clicking on Import .

Imported BOM
When a file of the same type is imported again, the template is automatically selected and used to create the preview.
Import of lists with additional data

Start the import
In some applications, it is also possible to import structured data.
Examples:
Import of BOMs with MPR(x) Programs into intelliDivide Nesting
Import of material types with images of the décor in the materialManager
In the file selection dialog, select all files to be imported at the same time. The easiest way to do this is to use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+A.
It is also possible to import a ZIP file containing these files.

Selection of MPR(X) files and control file (PNX)

File Selection
The relationships between the list (csv, xlsx, etc.) and the naming of the additional files are automatically detected.
In the example, the MPR(X) files are named according to the description (1).

Mapping MPR(X) files
The detected relationship %Description%.mpr (2) is assigned the Program Name property.
You can check the assignment in the preview. After confirmation, the information from the list is imported and linked to the additional data.

Imported Programs in Parts List
The import configuration is only necessary once. In the next step, the preview is displayed directly for the transfer.
