Use of the data from the materialManager or a customized list for optimization
The plate data for optimization can come from different systems. To make it easier to work in the different environments, two different modes have been introduced.
"materialManager" mode
In the "materialManager" mode, all plates and remnants that are available for the optimization of the parts in the materialManager are displayed. The list is automatically updated when you navigate to the tab and before optimization begins. The optimization is always carried out on the basis of the current inventory.
Custom List mode
In the "Customized List" mode, an individual list of plates can be compiled for optimization. It is possible to copy and paste data from Excel, for example, or import it from the materialManager. It is still possible to remove or add types to the list. The available number can be adjusted. This is helpful, for example, if there are plates in the inlet. The compiled list is used for optimization.

In the "materialManager" mode, all plates and remnants that are available for the optimization of the parts in the materialManager are displayed. Optimization is always carried out on the basis of the current inventory.

In the "Custom List" mode, an individual list of plates can be compiled for optimization. The existing plates can be imported from the materialManager (1). Furthermore, it is possible to adjust the available quantity (2), delete types (3) or insert new ones (4).

In the parts list, you can access all materials that have either been saved in the materialManager or added to the customized list.

If you want a complete overview of your sheet materials, switch to the materialManager. As usual, all materials are clearly listed there.
When creating a new optimization, the last selected mode is preselected.
When copying an existing optimization performed in Custom List mode, the custom disk list is also copied.
Locking Plates and Remnants for Optimization
If a plate or scrap type registered in the materialManager is not to be used for optimization, it can be excluded from use by using the Disk Type Blocked for Optimization option. This type no longer appears in the list of disks in intelliDivide.

Lock a slab or remnant type for optimization.
Optimization using the plate inventory stored in the materialAssist Board
Optimization is carried out for whole plates in the standard using an infinite plate inventory (999). For leftovers, the number actually available in the warehouse is used. A productionAssist Cutting license is a prerequisite for this.
If the slab and scrap stock is maintained via the materialAssist boards , it makes sense to use the actual stock for optimization. To do this, you must deactivate Optimize against infinity.

Select the Optimize Against Infinity option to use an infinite disk inventory.
If the Optimize against infinity option is selected, an infinite disk inventory (999) is used. In the other case, the stock available in the warehouse is used.

Optimization with an infinite (1) or actual inventory (2).
Optimization using the board inventory stored in woodStore
With the help of the HOMAG File Agent , board materials from woodStore can be imported very easily.
Your boards and scraps that you manage in woodStore are then directly available in the materialManager and in intelliDivide .
From woodStore, all material data – consisting of the material master, the stock of panels and remnants and the existing reservations – are imported into the materialManager. woodStore is the leading system in this regard. Changes you make in woodStore are synchronized in the materialManager and intelliDivide.
For more information, see HOMAG File Agent and the chapter Importing Board Materials from woodStore.
