Determination of the remaining length

In the detail view or when restoring an edge band, the remaining length (1) is displayed.

If the remaining length has changed, you can either subtract the known consumption (2) or recalculate the remaining length of the edge tape (3). If an edge banding machine is connected, the remaining length is automatically adjusted.

Deduct consumption

After clicking on the button "- Deduct consumption", a dialog opens in which the current consumption can be entered. This value can be read in the user interface of many edge banding machines.

The value is subtracted from the currently known remaining length.

Calculate consumption

By clicking on the "Calculate" button, a dialog opens in which you can enter the measured inner and outer diameter.  Based on these values and the stored actual thickness for the respective individual roll or the nominal thickness for stacks and stock goods , materialAssist calculates the remaining length and automatically adopts it.

Tip:

This function is very useful in the initial setup of the edge belt bearing.

You can also adjust the remaining length of an edge band in the detail view of the material. To do this, click on "Edit" (1) in the details of the material in question. In the "Edit Role(s)" dialog, you can also adjust the actual thickness (2) of individual rolls. To adjust the length, select Calculate Length (3).

This will also take you to the "Calculate Length" dialog.
