There are different types of material management. For plates and edge tapes, there are the options Single Plate or Single Roll, Stack and Stock Goods. In the following, the different types of management are explained using the material plates. This also applies accordingly to edge belt rolls.
In the Add Disk(s) dialog , you can select the management type in addition to the number.
Selection of the desired management type
Single material
Select the "Single Plate (1 Label per Plate)" option if you want to include the entered number of plates as individual plates in materialAssist. After confirmation in the "Add Plate(s)" dialog, each plate is displayed as a separate unit in the "Storage" view of materialAssist. By selecting the "Label & Confirm" button, an individual label is printed for each plate.
Management Type Single Plate
Stack
The "Stack (1 stack label)" option is suitable for plates that are stored together, for example as a package or stack, and therefore require only a single label. After you have selected the management type and confirmed the "Add Plate(s)" dialog, a common entry is created for this group of plates in the "Storage" view of materialAssist and, if necessary, a label is printed for the batch.
Batch management type
Stock goods
The option "Stock goods (1 label at storage location)" is suitable for boards that already have a defined storage location. The app makes it possible to print a label for this storage location. Similar to the "Stack (1 label at storage bin)" option, panels that are created as stock goods are managed as a combined entry in materialAssist. If you store additional plates in a compartment that already stores goods of the same plate type, the new plates are automatically added to the existing inventory.

If plates of the selected material are already in storage, these storage locations appear in the list above.
For panels that have been stored as stacks or stored goods, it is possible to remove them in the Retrieval view partly as individual panels, as a partial package (stack) or completely as a batch or stored goods. For removed partial quantities, you can print appropriate labels according to the management type.
