Store material

Prev Next

On this page, we will show you how to store materials at a workstation using the example of an edge tape roll. The procedure for plates is identical.

In the "Inventory" view, you can see all the materials that are suitable for the selected workstation and are ready for storage.

If the material you want is not available, you can add the material.

To start putting them away, first select the desired material. You can either capture the material with a scanner or select it from the list.

Scanning the material with a connected Bluetooth scanner

The easiest and fastest way to select the material is to use a Bluetooth scanner. Simply scan the label of the desired material in the "Inventory" view and the "Manual Storage" dialog will open.

Selection of the storage location

After you have selected the material, the "Manual Putaway" dialog appears.

Depending on the material type, information on the condition of the material can be updated in the "Manual Putaway" dialog. For example, with an edge band, you have the option of adjusting the available remaining length. For leftovers and slabs that have been stored as a single slab, the dimensions can be adjusted. The plates are then automatically converted into a remainder.

The application automatically suggests a storage location. If the material had already been stored before, this storage location is proposed again. You can change the location at any time.

Depending on the type of material, the following types of bearings have proven to be effective:

  • Chaotic camp
Similar materials are stored at a distance from each other. This prevents confusion during removal. The process is used, for example, for edge bands.

  • Single-origin warehouse
Similar materials are stored close to each other. The process is used, for example, for panels.

If an LED bar is assigned to the storage location, the suggested compartment lights up yellow. When the storage location is confirmed, the LED bar for the confirmed compartment lights up green.

Depending on the configuration, there are also different ways to adjust or confirm the selection of the place.

Scanning the storage location with a connected Bluetooth scanner

The quickest and easiest way to select a storage location is to scan with a connected Bluetooth scanner. As soon as a compartment has been scanned, the app automatically assigns the storage location to the material and closes the dialog. If the selected place is equipped with an LED bar, it will light up green to confirm.

Selection of the storage location by scanning with the tablet

After clicking on the scan icon, the scan dialog opens on the tablet. As soon as a compartment is scanned, the storage location is automatically assigned to the material and the dialog closes.

Selecting the place by selecting it from the list

After clicking on the drop-down list, the app will display all available storage locations. You can select a bin from this list. If the selected place is equipped with an LED bar, it will light up yellow. By clicking on "Confirm", the storage location is assigned to the stored material. If you want to print a label as well, click on "Label & Confirm".

To easily perform these operations with the scanner, Action QR codes are available to you.

Storage bins can also be assigned at a later time.
