To transfer material data from other software systems to materialManager, an import function is available. This means that master data, e.g. from an ERP system, an industry solution, an ordering or a storage system, can be easily integrated and further used.
The process of importing data is similar to that in intelliDivide. For a general description of how to do this, see Importing Data. The following is an example of the process for plates. The import process is the same for edge bands. Sample data for the import is available for download at the top right of this page.
First, open the three-dot menu (1) in the disk overview and then select "Import" (2).

Start of import
This opens the Import Types dialog box. You can use "Browse" to search for the files that are ready for import on your device.

Select the files to import.
Then select the file (CSV, Excel, BDX, etc.) that contains the master data at material type level. Optionally, you can also select associated files such as décor images or technical data sheets for import. After that, click on "Open". It is also possible to upload the files as a ZIP file.

Selection of files to import
Then "Confirm" the import in the materialManager dialog box.

Confirmation of files selected for import
This will take you to the preview of the material data import. If necessary, you can customize the automatically created import template according to your needs.

Customization of the import template
Complete the import by clicking "Confirm". If necessary, the imported data can then be edited. Exit Edit closes the view.

Confirm import
In the event of a new import, changes to the master data can be adopted from an ERP system, an industry solution or an ordering or storage system.
The behavior is controlled by two options:
When selecting the "Update Existing Plate Types" option , the panel code/edge code is first used to check whether the material already exists in the database. If this is the case, the data from the import file is taken over for this material. Data that is not included in the file is not changed. This option is selected by default.
If you select the option "Delete panel types from materialManager that are not part of the import file", materials that are not or no longer contained in the import file are deleted from the database. In order to avoid unintentional data loss, only materials for which there is neither a stock nor a reservation are taken into account.
If neither option is selected, the data is added to the database. Any duplicates that may arise must then be manually deleted or adjusted.
