Cutting Plans with Inserted Stress Cuts (yellow) in productionAssist Cutting
Due to storage and transport, e.g. from the outside to the inside, tensions can be built up in panels due to temperature and humidity differences. These are released when the panel is split and thus lead to a reduction in the cutting quality, dimensional accuracy and angularity of the cut parts.
To counteract this, intelliDivide Cutting now supports the targeted insertion of stress cuts. These release the tensions and the so-called banana effect can be reduced or avoided. The subsequent final cut can then be carried out with high accuracy.
Whether and how many stress clearances are necessary depends heavily on the quality of the panels, the environment and the quality standards. Each tension clearance is associated with an additional loss of material and time. It is important to find the right balance.
The following parameters are available to customize the behavior:
Using Stress Relief Cuts
Enables or disables the insertion of stress clearances.Width (incl. saw blade)
Specifies the width of the stress clearance. A tension clearance requires three cuts. Accordingly, the width should be at least three times the width of the saw blade plus a surcharge.Minimum cutting length (mm)
Tensions lead to problems with dimensional accuracy, especially in the case of long cuts. As a rule, tension-free cuts are sufficient for strip cutting. The parameter can be used to specify the length of a section from which a stress cut should be inserted. The smaller the value, the more stress relief cuts occur.Minimum Distance (mm)
The parameter can be used to adjust the minimum distance between stress clearances. For example, if a strip is narrower than the value entered, a second stress cut is not inserted. The higher the value, the fewer stress clearances occur.
The parameters are pre-assigned with values often used in practice.
