Setting up a scrap rack (physical)
Define the compartments with the maximum panel size that will be cut on the saw.
For the storage of deflecting material, you tend to define smaller compartment widths.
Make sure that you think of the "air for browsing" when it comes to the width of the tray (in width and height) → set the tray width in the software smaller than it is physically available, because the software will put leftovers in a compartment until the specified width is fully utilized).
The labeling of the compartments on the shelf with the compartment numbers simplifies the daily work of finding the compartment.
Adjusting the Scrap Rack in the Software
If a small red lock is displayed as an icon at the beginning of the line in the edit window, then the compartments cannot be edited.
The reason: There is already data on leftovers in these subjects. These must first be deleted so that the size of the compartments can be edited, for example.
Storage location selection: automatic vs. manual
We recommend the Auto-assign option. Automatic assignment takes into account how full a compartment already is. If you select a compartment manually, you must first check whether the rest still fits inside.
