For a stand-alone HOMAG saw (i.e. without a connection to a STORETEQ area storage system or feeder), you have the option of purchasing the Storage Bin Management option for hand scraps together with your HOMAG saw. This gives you the basic functionality to manage your hand scraps on the saw and to set them up using these instructions. As a rule, no additional training is necessary for this.
If you have connected your saw to a STORETEQ area storage system or the STORETEQ F-100 feeder (with min. woodStore 8), you have the option of automatic storage space management for panels and scraps . This option includes the functionality of simple bin management for hand scraps, but also has other (expert) functions, such as cantilever rack management and outdoor storage management for complete panels.
Not absolutely necessary, but recommended if you want to use hand scraps on your connected HOMAG saw more often outside the cutting process, is the scanner package. With this scanner package you get an industrial handheld scanner and a signal traffic light that is connected to the scrap management system. The scanner allows hand scraps to be booked out quickly and easily by simply scanning them signals. This avoids chaos and misunderstandings that may arise due to insufficient "book-out discipline" (see also Working with hand scraps).
If you are working with the Pruning Profi(t) optimization software, the Pruning Profi(t) module "Storage Bin Management" is required for a seamless link to the desired remnant management option.
Modernizations for leftover management
Existing machines with at least CADmatic 4.1 and at least Windows7 can usually be modernized for the management of remainders.
Here you can choose between the two levels of functionality described:
Storage space management for hand scraps
Storage location management for slabs and remnants (extended range of functions incl. additional training)
There is also an upgrade option from simple storage space management for hand scraps to advanced storage space management for plates and scraps.
Note:
If you are connected to a STORETEQ warehouse at a later date and the associated complete woodStore warehouse management, the warehouse database and other parameters of your previously used remnant management will continue to exist.
