The master data for materials can be edited individually, in a group, and in a list.
Editing a Type
To edit a material type, select the pencil in the Material Browser or click Edit in the material's detail view.

This opens the "Edit Plate Type" or "Edit Edge Tape Type" dialog. The data to be stored here differs depending on the type of material.

If you want to change the properties of an entire material group, you can use the list view to open the edit dialog for an entire material group. To do this, click on the pencil in the row of the relevant material group.

Here you can edit the common properties of a material group of panels. These are applied to all submaterials in this group.

Edit a list
For the first time you can enter and edit several materials at the same time , you can use the edit mode. You can access this in the list view via the "Edit" button. Here you can change the material properties directly in the table, similar to editing in Excel. This view is particularly suitable for copying and pasting data from other sources or editing multiple entries at the same time.
Click on "Leave Edit" to switch back to the list view. For details, see Editing Lists.
Changes in the list are automatically saved and directly affect all other applications.

Leave edit
Errors and warnings are highlighted by coloring the row (1) and by marking the column (2) and the cell. If there are errors, you can exit the view, but incorrect information is not displayed in the list view and is not available to other applications.
