The batch formation option supports you in the organization and creation of your production batches.
You get an overview of your orders to be planned and can combine them into lots – based on key figures – and transfer them to the cutting optimization department.
By creating cross-order production batches, material consumption can be reduced by using the possibility of combining orders based on key figures (e.g. the same materials).
At the same time, you can see the impact of the formed batch on your production directly on the basis of relevant key figures for the most important workplace groups (splitting, edge banding, CNC, laminating, assembly and shipping).
Add the "Lot Management" tab in the productionManager
In order to use the lottery, you must purchase a license for this option. After the purchase, an additional tab Lot Management appears in the productionManager and you can get started right away.

Working with Lot Formation
By clicking on the Lot Management tab, you will be taken to the corresponding overview. If there are already tickets, you will see them clearly displayed as individual tiles.
The view in Lot Management is sorted by lot status, start date (planned), and modification date. You can adjust the columns, the sorting and the filters via the settings.
Depending on the status of a lot, different options are available.
Status | Status color | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
New | light blue | After creating a lot, a lot is given the status "New". Editing is possible at any time. |
Ready for production | dark blue | After a lot is transferred to a split optimization, a lot is given the status "Production Ready". Editing is possible at any time. |
In production | light green | After the start of production of a component, a lot is given the status "In production". Processing is possible by dissolving a lot. |
Completed | dark green | After the end of production of all components of a lot, a lot is given the status "Completed". Processing is no longer possible. |
Click Add New Lot to create a new lot.

Overview in Lot Management
The view of batch creation and batch processing is structured in three parts.
On the left side, all orders that are in the "Ready for Production" status and are not yet part of a lot are displayed. By clicking on the "+" button, an order will be added to a lot.
In the middle, all orders that are included in the current lot are displayed. For a lot, a lot name (1) is suggested by the system. The proposed lot name can be adjusted and a planned start date (2) can be assigned.
On the right, you can see the key figures of the batch formed and therefore the impact on production for the main workstation groups (splitting, edge banding, CNC, laminating, assembly and shipping).
The metrics are updated according to the orders you add.
Tip:
The lottery name must be unambiguous and should be as descriptive as possible. The app automatically suggests sequential numbering. This can be supplemented, for example, with an abbreviation for a day of the week or with the calendar week.
This enables meaningful sorting, e.g. by displaying the oldest lots that have not yet been produced first.

Created Lot (1) with Key Figures (2)
Once jobs are included in a lot, that lot can be transferred to the Cut Optimization by clicking the Send button (intelliDivide) (1).
Alternatively, and if no intelliDivide license is available, the cut list can be exported (2).
Delete (3) and Leave Edit (4) are other options.

Options available after batch creation
Transfer to intelliDivide
After creating a batch, the components can be transferred to intelliDivide Cutting or intelliDivide Nesting by clicking on the Send button (intelliDivide).
In order for the Send button (intelliDivide) and thus the option to be available, an intelliDivide license must be available.
When transferring to intelliDivide, you can select a machine and the parameters, and the optimization can be started automatically.

Export for cutting optimization
If you use Schnitt Profi(t) or another software as cutting optimization, you can create a CSV file by exporting, which you can then import into your cutting optimization. To do this, select the Export option.
