To efficiently stack parts for downstream processes, you can group them together. Especially in combination with the batch formation in the productionManager, this allows orders to be bundled intelligently. This not only reduces waste, but also simplifies the entire process. Thanks to the targeted stacking, the orders can be processed after the sawing process either in the classic way – job by job – or optimized for the subsequent process.
Settings in intelliDivide
You can make the corresponding settings in the optimization parameters of intelliDivide. In addition to the cutting parameters , you can also specify the grouping for stacking here.
To do this, open the parameters in the optimization in question. Here you can either add a new parameter set (1) or edit an existing parameter set (2).

Open Optimization Parameter Settings
When calculating the cutting plans and their sequence, intelliDivide takes into account both the desired processing sequence and the available stacking positions. Therefore, the maximum number of stacking locations (1), the criterion for grouping (2) and the order (3) can be determined. You can use either the existing fields or the new "Stacking Group" field for grouping.

Edit Stacking Group

Set a grouping criterion
The cutting optimization is carried out as usual. In the optimization results, you will find a flow chart for each solution in the "Stacking Groups" tab, which clearly shows the order of the stacking groups. The groups are also displayed in the cutting plans. The color scheme of the parts in the cutting plans corresponds to the colors in the flow chart, so that you can see the group membership at a glance.

Settings in CADmatic
To make the appropriate settings for the stacking groups in CADmatic, please first log in with the user "machine +" and the password "user+". Then please make the following adjustments.
In the settings, select "Stacking Cart" as the "Stacking Mode Type" option.

Set Stacking Cart as the Type of Stacking Mode
To view the batch groups for optimization, open the context menu of the corresponding job and select the Calculate Stacking option.

Calculate stacking
The additional info field that must be selected here is determined by the stacking criterion defined in intelliDivide. The required field can be found in the SAW export settings in intelliDivide.

Open SAW Export Settings
Check which column position is assigned to the field in the export that you are using as the stacking criterion. In this example, the stacking is done according to the "Customer" column. This property is assigned column item 30 in the export. To determine the corresponding additional info field, subtract 13 from this number. In this case, this results in additional information field 17.

Specify additional info field
Select the corresponding additional info field in CADmatic and confirm your entry. The stacking groups are then displayed in color. Please note that the colors in CADmatic may differ from the color scheme in intelliDivide.
