Offcut parameters for generating offcuts

You can select how offcuts from the plan input or the optional CAD plan are to be handled in the Offcut parameters section of the material parameters for the saw. 

Our recommendation for the Managed offcuts option in connection with storage bin management is the Automatic option.

With the Automatic option, the offcuts are created automatically based on the configuration in the offcut parameters (length, width, area) without the need for manual intervention. In addition, the name of the offcut is selected so that it begins with a capital X. This X serves as an identifier for an offcut. 

If the option is set to Deactivated, our software may allocate space unfavorably under certain circumstances. You should therefore not use the Deactivated setting in connection with storage bin management.

System parameters for compartment assignment during production

In the CADmatic system parameters, you can set whether and how the putaway dialog should be displayed during the cutting process (“Register offcuts putaway orders in manual storage”).

The Manual selection allows you to specify that the selection dialog should be displayed during the action while an offcut is being produced.
