Material-dependent optimization parameters

In the “Machine parameters” dialog, the settings for offcuts, trims and tension trims are made for each machine / workstation.

In intelliDivide Cutting Advanced, intelliDivide Cutting Premium and intelliDivide Nesting Advanced, the material-dependent parameters from the materialManager can be used as an alternative. This requires the option to be activated in the “Machine parameters” dialog for each machine/workstation.

This option is currently only available for offcuts. By the end of the year, this option will also be available for trims and tension trims.

For example, material-dependent groups allow you to define different minimum sizes for offcuts depending on the properties of the material. If the material is very cheap, it is not necessary to create offcuts because the handling effort is disproportionate to the value of the material. On the other hand, if the material is very expensive, it is worth creating very small offcuts.

How to create material dependent groups is described in the corresponding section of the materialManager documentation.

Which setting applies to which material can be seen in the 'Boards' tab. The table settings (1) can be used to display the 'Offcuts' column. The relevant material group is listed in this column (2). If necessary, you can navigate directly to the settings in the materialManager (3).

In the “Offcuts” column in the “Boards” tab, the material group is displayed for each material.

Accordingly, the different settings per material are used when calculating the cutting patterns.
