First Steps

Every part has its place - with our assistant for sorting parts.

Together with the productionManager app, our sorting assistant supports you in sorting your parts in the workshop. This means you always have an overview of which furniture parts have already been processed and are complete for assembly, packaging or further processing.

The productionAssist Sorting supports your process in conjunction with the productionManager (= digital job folder) and enables...

  • ...the sorting of parts for the bench room. 
  • ...the overview of the completeness of the furniture/parts to be sorted.
  • ...the provision of the necessary information for the assembly area.
  • ...the simple organization of production.

To make optimum use of productionAssist Sorting (and productionManager), use a sorting rack in addition to the apps.

  1. In work preparation, you first create an order in productionManager – or you import it. Once the order has been released, processing starts.
  2. During the production of your furniture, you have all the information you need for each part available in your digital job folder and can keep track of the status of all your orders.
  3. Each workpiece is given an individual label for identification as soon as it is cut to size. After processing, the finished parts can be sorted onto the rack. To do this, you scan the label on the workpiece and the app suggests a shelf compartment for storage. The parts can be assigned manually in the app or by scanning the compartment barcode, e.g. with a scanner glove. You then sort all the finished parts into the rack. The app displays the sorted parts per item and compartment. An LED display on the rack helps you to sort and remove items.
  4. Once all parts of a piece of furniture are complete, the app provides feedback that the order is complete. At the same time, you can display the missing parts for each order in the app at any time. As soon as you want to remove the parts of the order from the rack, the app and the LEDs on the rack show you in which shelf compartments the corresponding parts are located. Now it's time to remove and assemble!

productionManager

Simply call up the digital job folder in your browser using the URL https://productionmanager.homag.cloud/. You need an active license to log in. 
The first step is to import or create an order in work preparation. Once the order has been released, processing can begin.

productionAssist Sorting

Download the productionAssist app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. After starting the app, you will find it in the workstation overview. An active license is required. 
Start with the configuration. Once this is complete, you can switch to storing an order with one click and get started straight away.
