Export options and settings
In intelliDivide, various export options are available, which differ between intelliDivide Cutting and intelliDivide Nesting.
For intelliDivide Cutting, you can export your optimization results in SAW, PTX, and PDF formats, as well as export the material requirements separately.
For intelliDivide Nesting, you also have access to PDF export and the option to export material requirements. In addition, results can be exported in PNX format as a ZIP file.
These export options can be configured independently and individually enabled or disabled.
To configure the respective settings, first open the export tab in the intelliDivide settings. You can edit the desired export option by clicking the pencil icon.
intelliDivide Cutting
For intelliDivide Cutting, you can configure settings for the SAW, PDF, and PTX export formats.
SAW
For the SAW export, you first need to adjust the character encoding. Under “Compatibility,” make the following setting depending on your CADmatic version:
CADmatic 4 and 5
Both CADmatic 4 and CADmatic 5 support the default and recommended character encoding "Unicode (UTF-8)". Additionally shortening the file name to 8 characters is not necessary.
CADmatic 3
For CADmatic 3, you need to adjust the character encoding. It supports the "ANSI (Windows-1252)" (1) file format. If no umlauts are used, you can also choose the "US-ASCII" character encoding. For CADmatic 3 you must additionally enable the "Shortening of the file name to 8 characters" (2) option. This allows you to create cutting plans for older machines in intelliDivide, for which an update to a more recent CADmatic is not possible.
Below the settings for CADmatic, assign both the required properties and the optional properties a column position between 14 and 99 to be used in the export file.
Further down in the column settings, you will find a preview of the file that reflects your current settings. You can download this preview (1) and specifically select an order (2) for which the preview file should be displayed.
Finally, don't forget to save your changes by clicking "Confirm."
You can revert your adjustments at any time using "Delete assignment" or "Reset to default."
PTX
For PTX export, the required standard properties are automatically inserted into the sections according to the PTX specification.
Assign the optional properties to a column position between 14 and 99, just as you do for SAW export.
For PDF export, you can individually specify whether to export the cutting pattern overview, the material requirement, and cutting pattern details (1).
The Material requirement can also be exported separately (2).
intelliDivide Nesting
The settings for exporting material requirements and PDF documents in intelliDivide Nesting are the same as those in intelliDivide Cutting: You can enable or disable the export of material requirements and specify which content should be included in the PDF file. In addition, the nesting results can be exported as a ZIP file in PNX format.
ZIP
For the PNX export as a ZIP file, you also assign each property a column position between 14 and 99.
You can specify which properties are available for export in the info fields settings.
