Trim cuts

Trim cut settings can be configured both in the machine parameters of intelliDivide and in the material-dependent parameters in materialManager.

Machine parameters for minimum trim cuts

Begin by opening the machine parameters dialog in intelliDivide.

Minimal trim: Depending on the panel quality, a trim is necessary to remove damage to the panels due to transportation and to ensure angularity.

Minimal trim for recut: Depending on the accuracy of the saw, a trim cut is necessary before and after recuts to ensure angularity.

For example, the trim cuts can be reduced for very hard materials such as HPL. This reduces waste and saves costs.

In the case of frequently damaged material, on the other hand, the trim cuts can be increased to ensure the quality of the cut parts.

To use the material groups created in materialManager, activate the option "Use of material-dependent parameters" for the respective machines in intelliDivide.

Material-dependent optimization parameters for trim cuts

In materialManager, in the "Optimization" section under the "Trim cuts" tab, you have the option to create material groups for trim cuts and specify the corresponding parameters.

In the material-dependent parameters, you can specify minimal trim cuts and minimal trims for recuts, much like the settings available in the machine parameters.

When this option is activated, the "trim cut" column under the "Boards" tab in an optimization in intelliDivide will display the material group for each material.
