Effective use of materials: diagrams in intelliDivide Cutting to analyze and improve resource efficiency

intelliDivide Cutting Advanced / Premium, materialAssist Boards

intelliDivide Cutting Advanced and Premium, there is a new overview of the use of materials, in which all transferred optimizations are included. This overview includes several diagrams that show how effectively the respective materials are used.

  • Relative material efficiency by material code
The diagram provides information on how efficiently a material is used by indicating the percentage of parts, waste and offcuts produced.
  • Part area by material code
The diagram shows the percentage of parts, waste and offcuts generated in m² or ft² and therefore how often a particular material is used. Improving material efficiency, especially for frequently used materials, can contribute to significant cost savings.
  • Material usage
The diagram shows both the ratio of whole panels and offcuts as the source material and the percentage of parts, waste and offcuts as the result. The ratio of produced and reused offcuts is particularly interesting. If there is a large difference here, it is worth adjusting the settings for the use of offcuts, as this can potentially save costs.

The available diagrams provide valuable information for analyzing and improving material utilization in order to increase efficiency and sustainability in cutting.

One way to improve material utilization and achieve cost savings is to combine optimizations, especially for frequently used materials. This allows materials to be used more effectively and waste to be reduced, which contributes directly to lowering costs.
